Brian Connolly Founder & Managing Principal, Victus Advisors

  Brian Connolly has over a decade of experience providing market research, financial advisory, and other strategic planning services to a wide variety of venues, events, franchises, athletic departments, municipal governments and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to founding Victus Advisors, Brian was a consultant with CSL International, specializing in market analysis, financial feasibility, economic impact analysis and operational reviews for sports franchises, athletic departments and public assembly venues. Prior to CSL, he served in market research and strategy roles for the NFL Arizona Cardinals and NBA Orlando Magic, as well as Finance Director for a market research firm based in Boston.
Brian earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. with a specialization in Sports Business from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Brian is a member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) and the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD), and he has served as an expert panelist at conferences for both organizations. He has also served as a guest lecturer for the San Diego State University Sports MBA program. He resides in Park City, Utah, with his wife and three daughters.

Walter Franco Associate, Victus Advisors

  Walter Franco specializes in a wide variety of market research, strategic analysis, and other planning and operational consulting services on behalf of our clients. Prior to joining Victus Advisors, Walter worked in corporate development for the ECHL Utah Grizzlies and the Maverik Center, a 10,000-seat hockey arena located in the suburbs of Salt Lake City. He also has significant experience providing consulting services to international soccer clubs, including assisting with U.S. licensing deals and brokering friendlies in the U.S. with Major League Soccer (MLS) opponents. 
Walter is bi-lingual, and his professional experience includes projects and roles with English-speaking groups such as MLS, Soccer United Marketing, Real Salt Lake, and University of Utah Athletics, as well as several Spanish-language projects for Mexican professional soccer clubs (such as Liga MX's Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente and Toluca F.C.) and the city of Rosarito, Mexico. 
Walter earned an M.B.A. with a focus on Sports Business from San Diego State University, and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Utah. He is a native of San Diego, California, and currently lives in Sandy, Utah, with his wife and three daughters. 

Brandon Bagley Associate, Victus Advisors

  Brandon Bagley joined the Victus Advisors team in 2015 as an analyst focused on market research, financial analysis, and economic analysis for our sports and entertainment clients. Prior to joining Victus, Brandon worked for Chaney Sports Group, a boutique investment bank and consulting firm focused on the sports, media and entertainment industries. His client and project experience at CSG included Nitro Circus, Hyperice, Combate Americas, Uproxx, TokBox, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), Sporting Kansas City, and Essendon FC. Brandon has also held digital strategy and marketing positions with Major League Soccer (Soccer United Marketing) and the NHL Philadelphia Flyers.  
Brandon is a 2011 graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was President of the Undergraduate Sports Business Club and helped organize the annual Ivy League Sports Symposium.

George A. Cooley II Senior Associate, Victus Advisors

  George A. Cooley II has thirty years of experience in sales, marketing, and management, and is currently leading business development and relationship management efforts for Victus Advisors within the Sports Tourism and National Governing Body (NGB) sectors.
Prior to joining Victus Advisors, George was the Sports Development Director for Destination DC, where he led and directed his departments in the areas of sales, marketing opportunity analysis, target market selection, promotion mix, and customer relationship management.
George's destination marketing career has featured an impressive list of awards and leadership positions, including the 2007 Ontario Motor Coach Association's prestigious "Mary Morton Service Award" for outstanding service to motor coach and tour operator companies in Ontario, the 2007 American Bus Association's members voting Destination DC #1 for service in the Destination Marketing Organization category, and the Maryland Tourism Council naming George "1997 New Professional of the Year." George has also served as a member of the executive advisory board for Connect SPORTS MARKETPLACE, member of the board for the Student & Youth Travel Association (SYTA), and on the National Tour Association's (NTA) Leadership Team.


Jill Bensley President, JB Research Company

  Jill Bensley is a strategic partner of Victus Advisors and specializes in providing cities, municipal agencies, sports franchises, developers, and other sports and entertainment companies with feasibility testing for new real estate projects. Victus recently partnered with Ms. Bensley on an economic analysis project for the AEG-owned StubHub Center in Carson, California. Ms. Bensley is widely considered the foremost feasibility consultant for entertainment, attraction, culture and retail real estate projects in the United States. She is a full member of the prestigious Urban Land Institute where she serves as the Chair of the Entertainment Development Council. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Themed Entertainment Association, the International Association of Attractions and Amusement Parks, and Financial Women International.
In recent years, Ms. Bensley has been involved with selecting and testing retail and entertainment elements for many of the most successful sports-anchored mixed-use developments in the country, including L.A. Live adjacent to the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, and ancillary developments built around professional sports arenas in Atlanta, Anaheim and Edmonton, among others. She has conducted hundreds of market, financial feasibility and economic impact analyses and consumer research for retail/entertainment developments and mixed-use projects all across the country.
